Processing of personal data

Personal data are all kinds of information which are somehow related to you.

Being one of our customers, suppliers or business partners, we collect various general information about you such as contact and payment details.

When you use our website, we collect and process various information. For instance, when you access content, sign up for our newsletter, participate in surveys, register as a user or subscriber, use our services or make purchases on the website.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: A unique ID and technical data about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP number, geographical position and the sites you click on (interests).

To the extent that you give your express consent and enter the information on the website, we also process: Name, company name, address, email and free text notes. For example, when you sign up for our newsletter or use our contact form.

Privacy policy on recruitment

When we receive your job application and any attachments to it, the relevant manager and HR employee will read it in order to be able to respond and assess its content in relation to a specific job.

The job application and its attachments will be shared internally with the relevant persons in the recruitment process and will not be disclosed to anyone outside Aalborg Portland Holding.

The job application and its attachments will be saved until the right candidate has been identified, and the recruitment process has ended. Thereafter, the application and its attachments will be deleted.

When we receive unsolicited job applications, we save the application and its attachments for no more than six months, after which period they will be deleted.

If the application and its attachments are saved for more than six months, we will obtain a separate consent from the job candidate.

Security

We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent accidental or unlawful erasure, publication, loss, deterioration or unauthorised disclosure, abuse or any other unlawful processing of your data.

We will save your personal data on computers with restricted access which are located in supervised facilities, and our security measures will be monitored regularly to determine whether our user information is handled properly and with continued regard to your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security in all data transfers on the Internet. This means that there may be a risk of unauthorised access to data when data are being sent and stored electronically. You thus give your personal data at your own risk.

Period for which the personal data are stored

The data are stored for the period permitted under applicable legislation, and we erase the data when they are no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the data and the reason for storage. Therefore, it is impossible to state a general time frame for when data will be erased.

Disclosure of information

We use a number of third-party providers of data storage and processing services, including IT solution providers. These providers process only data on our behalf and must not use the data for their own purposes. In relevant cases, data are disclosed to banks, debt collection agencies, including credit rating agencies, haulage contractors and freight companies.

The disclosure of personal data to third parties for other purposes requires your consent.

We only use data processors within the European Union or countries that can offer your data adequate protection.

Your rights

We delete personal data at our own motion when they are no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected.
