For over a decade, C-Concrete has relied on Aalborg White® CEM I 52.5 R-SR. In line with its commitment to sustainability and reduced carbon footprint, the company recently undertook extensive testing of D-Carb® low-carbon White Cement

C-Concrete, part of the Cordeel Group, produces over 42,000m³ of concrete annually, offering a wide variety of colours and strength classes for precast elements such as terraces (BALQOON), beams, columns, solid walls, and more.

An extensive Laboratory testing plan by C-Concrete confirmed a smooth transition from Aalborg White® CEM I 52.5R to D-Carb® CEM II/A-LL, requiring no significant adjustments to the existing formulation. According to Nicolas, technical manager of C-Concrete, a key concern for concrete technologist—28 days compressive strength – was successfully met without compromise. Moreover, D-Carb® exhibited excellent early age performances, matching the high standards of Aalborg White® CEM I 52.5R, needed to meet tight construction schedules at the production site.

Verified by third-party Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), D-Carb® is the first white cement in the market to deliver 15% lower CO2 emissions while preserving its superior performance.
